Food Scene

Amazing community garden, with lots of tables and benches outside on the grass. Also space to sit down inside the yurt itself. There's a cafe with fresh bread, breakfast, coffee, cake and other nibbles. Free/cheap social activities are organised there, too.

It's the closest cinema. Genesis at Stepney Green is pretty close too, and it's cheaper than Cineworld. However, Cineworld has bigger screens plus bigger and more comfortable seats.

Sightseeing

Canary Wharf is the new financial district. (The old one is the City - not far away, over at Monument & Bank.) Not only are there very tall buildings (!), but also a shopping centre, lots of restaurants and bars, two cinemas and, of course, the river Thames.
