A.K.A. Meadow Park. A true gem of a park that was just rebuilt in 2016 after the Colorado 1000 year flood in 2013. The St. Vrain river runs around the park, great for fishing, tubing and kayaking. It's a great place to relax and have a picnic.

One of two mountain bike / hiking trails close to Lyons. This one has heavy mountain bike traffic so if you're on foot, we recommend going to button rock preserve instead.

A mountain bike / hiking trail just outside of Lyons. This one gets heavy mountain bike traffic but is still worth hiking. If you go far enough, you can see where much of the stone on the buildings at the University of Colorado was quarried. Definitely one of our favorite trails to run and bike on.

Heil Valley Ranch - Picture Rock Trailhead
63 Red Gulch RdA mountain bike / hiking trail just outside of Lyons. This one gets heavy mountain bike traffic but is still worth hiking. If you go far enough, you can see where much of the stone on the buildings at the University of Colorado was quarried. Definitely one of our favorite trails to run and bike on.
Button Rock Preserve encompasses the tail waters of Ralph Price Reservoir. A great place to walk and not worry about bikes (they're not allowed). The Sleepy Lion trail starts about a mile in from the parking lot and has some of the best views in the area.
