Located close to the old bridge and harbour, genuine Portuguese local tavern with local fish food, decorated with photos of the old story of the village, with good ambiance and very reasonably priced.

Located just meters from the tranquil beauty of the Ria Alvor. Fish and seafood dominate the menu at Àbabuja. Starters include clams, mussels, prawns, cockles and an excellent fish soup. The fish of the day is grilled over charcoal and served with a fresh salad and potatoes. Simple, very Algarve and totally delicious. Àbabuja specials include Monk fish rice, Caldeirada (a mixed fish stew) and Massada de Peixe - a medley of fish cooked with pasta and perfumed with fresh coriander. If you can't do without meat, the menu also features a good choice of steak and some pork dishes.

Dont let the size or even looks of this small restaurant trick you, this is a super spot for good local food and wine, where prices are reasonable and the staff super friendly. On fridays and Saturdays try the famous "arroz de lingueirao" :-)

Located in a very characteristic pedestrian street of Alvor, the outside space is usually as crowded as the inside of the bar!

This unique wine bar gives the word tapas a whole new meaning, serving dishes made for sharing using seasonal, high-quality, local produce. This bright, sophisticated setting is a haven for wine lovers, with an excellent selection of distinctive labels that can’t be found elsewhere (available by the glass or by the bottle, to drink in or take away). Open from 5pm, closed Sunday.

Bright wooden restaurant, right on the beach, cold cocktails, lovely wine and gorgeous golden sunsets. The food is freshly prepared daily, snacks and drinks are available all day including a full cocktail menu, frozen drinks and juices. At Sundays the setting changes a little as they prepare for their “magic sundays”, with live music from local bands.
