The food is very good and the beach is small and private. I believe there are turtle hatchings here. We have seen a couple different water birds here as well.

Entertainment & Activities
They have different tours that would suit a variety of people. We enjoyed rafting, horseback riding, zip line, mud bath/hot springs and lunch. Price was reasonable for an entire day of activities. You should book a day in advance to guarantee a spot.

The local buses are cheap. They don't usually have air conditioning so be prepared for a warm ride especially if it is crowded.

Sightseeing
Basically this is the peninsula across the bay near the Four Seasons Hotel. It is a pretty drive (perhaps 45 minutes). We saw Capuchin monkeys, red breasted trogons (birds), and a pond with various water birds. There is also a white sand beach that you can walk down to via a stairway along the road. You can snorkel on this side. It is not very deep and we actually saw more fish from Ocotal beach.

You must see the huge fica tree at the beach. It is one of a kind. Take a walk along the "boardwalk". Watch the pelicans and other water birds chasing fish along the water. Take a picture beside the couple statue.

It's a lovely beach where many learn to surf. Check out Pangas Beach Club restaurant - they make great steak, so does the Gallo Fino. The ceviche at GF is excellent.
