Restaurants, shopping, beaches, adventures Set beside the Indian River Lagoon along Florida’s Space Coast Melbourne/Palm Bay offers beaches, fishing, golfing, surfing, airboat rides and many other outdoor activities. Only 3 miles from our home you will find Palm Crossing Shopping Center. This nice shopping center has many popular stores and restaurants. We are a 15 minute drive to the beautiful Turkey Creek Sanctuary with two and half miles of boardwalks. We are also approximately 12 miles from many beautiful beaches near Melbourne. 30 miles north you will find Cocoa beach and 45 miles to the world famous Kennedy Space Center. 30 miles south you will find Sebastian Inlet State Park. 1 hour drive west to Orlando International Airport and all the Orlando attractions such as Disney World and Universal Studios. If you are wanting to explore the Palm Bay/Melbourne area we recommend the Historic Downtown Melbourne where you can enjoy the night life, bars, restaurants, shops, and boutiques. Air boat rides where you can see alligators are close by at Camp Holley Air boat rides. The Indian River Lagoon is a great place to see dolphins, manatees and other wildlife. Our favorite park on the river is Ballard Park. Melbourne beach is another favorite of ours. This beach has free parking, restrooms, and a ramp to the beach if needed. Some of our favorite restaurants are Bizzaros Famous New York Pizza, Ichabods Dockside Bar and grill for seafood, Long Doggers, and Ozzie's Crab house. If you enjoy live music check out Lou’s Blues or Squid Lips. We hope you will find peace and joy at our home lounging by the pool, sitting around the fire pit or relaxing in the spacious living area.
