Boulders beach penguin colony is a popular tourist destination. The 2000+ strong colony of African Penguins (known as the 'Jackass Penguin‘ for its donkey-like bray), have settled there since 1982. Please do enjoy the wind sheltered beaches and warmer water of the Indian ocean too.
