Not often you can have a free day at the waterslides! This natural waterslide is a lot of fun. Please use common sense--it is a natural flowing creek, certain times of the year; or after a summer rainstorm it may not be a safe option.

These beauties are magnificent! You can add a couple of side trips to make a full day of fun in the high country.

Cultural experience

An insight into the area before you arrived.
This museum is a hidden gem! It is a non-profit organization that is run by wonderful, welcoming folks. Every Wednesday they host a craft day--you are encouraged to bring a potluck to share. Every Saturday the kitchen opens to offer the weary traveler Indian tacos...delicious! The money raised goes towards keeping the center open and offering continued events that are enjoyed by all. History, Library, Crafts, Plants, Local Indian Culture and food. Phone: (760) 549-0800

Sightseeing

Another beautiful spot that Mother Nature has provided. It is a short hike to the top of the falls. When at the top you can utilize another (not as worn) path to the bottom of the falls. Be aware and take care--make sure to ear good hiking shoes!

Beautiful vista, but perhaps not the best place to take young children--there are no fences or rails to keep children away from the edge.
