Sightseeing

This small city farm is good for families with children. There are also lots of quirky houses and some allotments around here that are interesting to look at. The cafe at the city farm has nice food and coffee and is very "St-Werburghs".

There are great views from the top of Bristol. There is a small museum on the Leigh woods side of the bridge about the bridge which is quite interesting. There’s also the observatory and the downs nearby.

Shopping

This was where all the trading used to take place from the produce that came in on the boats. it’s an old covered market with lots of Independent shops and food stalls. The old buildings on corn street are all very grand and worth a look despite the fact most of them are now clubs and bars.

Neighbourhoods

Gloucester Road has lots of independent shops and bars and if you have the time and energy to walk from Stokes Croft at the bottom and then up then I would recommend it. There’s loads of charity shops and vintage shops too giving this area a real “Bristol” vibe.

The Bristol harbourside is a good place to hang out in good weather, there’s a small ferry that can take you around the harbourside for a reasonable price and stops near lots of good attractions (the M-Shed, We The Curious, SS Great Britain, Arnolfini). There are a few big chain bars and restaurants near millennium square which are best avoided but there are still a few quirky independent cafes and bars around here such as ‘Under the Stars’ a tapas bar on a boat and ‘No.1 harbourside’.
