Walk or Bike to Brown's Island for festivals throughout the year. Just over the hill from the house. You can often hear the music sitting on the balcony. When there isn't a festival, the Island is a great place to relax, play frisbee, and hang out with friends.

At 7 miles/15 minutes from the house it is a bit further out of the city, but a fantastic venue nonetheless. Ginter has ties to Oregon Hill. His niece, Grace Arents, used her inheritance to build St. Andrew’s Church and the Grace Arents Free Library in Oregon Hill.
