Melford Hall is a stately home in the village of Long Melford, Suffolk, England. It is the ancestral seat of the Parker Baronets. The hall was mostly constructed in the 16th century, incorporating parts of a medieval building held by the abbots of Bury St Edmunds which had been in use since before 1065.

Some great little shops here and nice pubs to eat in. Try the Cock & Bell or The Bull.

Set overlooking the Water Meadows, this is a gorgeous hotel with a roof top setting for those lovely hot summer nights. Dogs are welcome and the scenery is amazing. Great food.

Amazing food and a beautiful hotel. Definitely worth a visit!
A gorgeous village and this pub does great food and is on the River Stour. You can get a boat from Gt. Henny to Sudbury and back again.

Bury St Edmunds, commonly referred to locally as Bury, is a historic market town and civil parish in Suffolk, England. Bury St Edmunds Abbey is near the town centre. In Bury you can get a good range of shops and each Xmas they have an Xmas market. Various events throughout the year happen.
Colchester is a town in the county of Essex, in southeast England. In the Castle Park, Colchester Castle is a huge Norman keep, built on the foundations of a Roman temple. Its museum displays artefacts up to 2,500 years old. Also in the park is Hollytrees Museum, a Georgian townhouse displaying 3 centuries of clothing, clocks and decorative arts. Nearby, in the Dutch Quarter, are the remains of a Roman theatre. Great shopping here too.
