Other places to visit

Panzano is the closest village to our b&b. You'll find the basic things you need there (fruit and vegetables shop, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, wineries, wineshops...). Here is ubicated the famous butcher shop from Dario Cecchini and his 3 restaurants. There is also a very interesting wineshop: Accademia del Buon Gusto. Stefano, the owner enjoys a lot to talk about wines and and you will try lots of them. We highly recommend you this place. There is a local market on Sundays. The first Sunday of each month there is also a Crafter’s Market.

Greve is known as the heart of Chianti. It is worth to visit the main square where each Saturday it is hold the local market. Moreover, the 4th sunday of each month there is Il Pagliaio, an organic farmers and crafter’s market. You can make a wine tasting at Il Vinaino di Greve where Donatella, the owner will let you try some of the wines and delicacies at her shop.

Colle di Val d'Elsa is known above all for its crystal production, but it also offers a splendid view of Tuscany, a medieval atmosphere, interesting restaurants and a beautiful Duomo.

Our favourite places

A very small medieval village 1km away from Greve in Chianti, and 6 km from our b&b.
This is from our point of view, probably the most beautilful village close by our b&b. Is a tiny village in the middle of the Chianti region which is not mentioned on most of tourist guides. It is only 12 km away from our b&b. The allure comes from a picturesque medieval village, great views, a great bar, two restaurants and the winery Castello di Volpaia. A village that you can visit time and time again without getting bored. We highly recomend you to stop to eat at Bar Ucci at the main square of the village. You will have the greatest Tuscan lunch right behind the fountain which the old farmers took their cows, sheep and horses to drink. The bar was once a cattleshed, there is a big arch in it where horses were given shelter, while in the other small rooms were kept sheep, goats and poultry.
