Just 25 minutes from Santa Teresa it is the town of Montezuma, well known for its waterfalls. Excellent option to get to know the tropical jungle from inside, and for the most adventurous, there are different jumps. There are 2 different entrances. One is through the entrance to the Montezuma Canopy, where you pass through hanging bridges. The other is below, near the town. In the latter you access the waterfalls by walking along the river.

Playa Hermosa is north of Playa Santa Teresa, about 15 minutes by car. Excellent beach to enjoy with family or friends. We recommend going at low tide and enjoying the natural pools that are made before arriving, right in front of Perfect Sunset School. Playa Hermosa is very good for surfing, both for beginners and advanced surfers.

Just 10 minutes south from Montezuma, this is a beautiful beach to hang out. Usually it's very friendly for swimming, but always be care.

Tipps für Reisende

Was einpacken?

Sunscreen, insect repellent and comfortable shoes

The sun is strong and rises very early. We recommend always using sunscreen to avoid burns. Insect repellent is very important, especially during the rainy season (from May to November). Comfortable shoes are essential if you want to go hiking, such as the Montezuma waterfalls path, the Cabo Blanco reserve or the Curu Reserve.
Verkehrsmittel

Car, quad or motorcycle.

To get around Santa Teresa and surrounding areas, we recommend renting a car, quad or motorcycle. Public transport does not offer a very good service and takes a long time. To make the most of your time, it is recommended to have your own mobility.
