This hostel/café is a quiet place to work on your laptop or read, drink something or eat a piece of cake. In the evening it is totally hopping for Milan's cheapest Happy hour (drink and buffet for 3-7 euros) and the buffet will have healthy tasty options!

I love this museum because there are always some free exhibits, not to mention those with paid entry. Italian or international designers inspire me here.

Contemporary art installations on a very large scale, thanks to the hangar-sized facilities. Usually the installations are somewhat interactive, making the experience unforgettable and perhaps surreal. Oh yeah, it's completely free.

Well there's a farm (traditional Lombardy style) with dairy cows, crop fields, streams, tall trees, and there are paths extending all through it!

A seriously special place, this piazza was created 6 meters above street level in the center of the Unicredit skyscraper made up of three towers. The tallest of them is actually Italy's tallest building, and on top is a Madonna statue like the one on top of the Duomo (only you can't see it, it's so high). The towers were designed by Cesar Pelli who also designed the twin Petronas towers in Kuala Lampur, Malasia (which were the world's tallest buildings for awhile). The piazza boasts flat ponds with light-music-water shows, shops and cafés. While you're there you can see the two "Bosco Verticale" (Vertical woods) skyscrapers, completely draped in trees, shrubs, and bushes.
