Playa Jarugo is just down the road from Casa TABAIBA ..... head south west from the house for 10 mins on a well maintained dirt road through a spectacular landscape - expect to be bowled over - Note: beaches on the west side of the island (excepting protected parts of Cotillo) can be very dangerous with rip tides and rough waters particularly during the winter months …. Don’t be deceived by the inviting water!!!….

Playa Jarugo is just down the road from Casa TABAIBA ..... head south west from the house for 10 mins on a well maintained dirt road through a spectacular landscape - expect to be bowled over - Note: beaches on the west side of the island (excepting protected parts of Cotillo) can be very dangerous with rip tides and rough waters particularly during the winter months …. Don’t be deceived by the inviting water!!!….
A 15 minute ferry ride away from Corralejo - great for walkers, beaching and taking in the atmosphere - swim in crystal clear water in the protected waters at El Puertito - (take the kids)….

A stiff walk up and down our local mountain - reasonable fitness required - an hour to go up - try to see the "podomorfos" engravings left by early settlers from North Africa (currently closed due to maintenance)

Walk from Ezquinzo to escalera beach along the footpath- 30 minutes - also worth doing is the ravine from Ezquinzo beach inland - you could drive from Tindaya via the dirt road and park when you come across the start of the ravine - from here it’s a glorious 30 minute walk to the beach through the ravine - level is easy to moderate, walking shoes required
