Places you can reach by foot without problems at all from the apartment
It’s one of the most beautiful glimpse in the Historical centre of Genova, between the small streets (the typical Vicoli) it’s a hidden gem you must visit, especially in the evening where you can find many places where you can eat or have an Aperitivo (“Exultate” for an aperitivo with pizza or just a pizza dinner, “Öosteria” and “Rossovino Bistrot” as some of the restaurants there).

Very close to the apartment, it’s a quite small square in the historical centre surrounded by beautiful ancient buildings, especially the Cathedral and it’s tower and cloister.
It’s also perfect for a breakfast, since there’s a bar where you can have coffee/cappuccino and croissant/focaccia outside in this lovely place.

Piazza delle Vigne
Piazza delle VigneVery close to the apartment, it’s a quite small square in the historical centre surrounded by beautiful ancient buildings, especially the Cathedral and it’s tower and cloister.
It’s also perfect for a breakfast, since there’s a bar where you can have coffee/cappuccino and croissant/focaccia outside in this lovely place.
One of most lovely places in the city, it’s right next to the apartment with so much to offer. There you can visit the Aquarium, the Museum of the Sea, the Ferry Wheel, the Biosphere, Renzo Piano’s Bigo, Palazzo San Giorgio and other places of interest all together. Also, it’s amazing if you want to stop there at night, since it’s full of restaurants and bars where you can have dinner or have an aperitivo (risotteria “In Vino Veritas”, “Eataly”, “Osteria di Vico Palla” and “Malkovich” are my personal favourites, especially Eataly it’s really good for tourists since it’s on the roof of a tall building so the view of Porto Antico there is amazing).

Porto Antico
One of most lovely places in the city, it’s right next to the apartment with so much to offer. There you can visit the Aquarium, the Museum of the Sea, the Ferry Wheel, the Biosphere, Renzo Piano’s Bigo, Palazzo San Giorgio and other places of interest all together. Also, it’s amazing if you want to stop there at night, since it’s full of restaurants and bars where you can have dinner or have an aperitivo (risotteria “In Vino Veritas”, “Eataly”, “Osteria di Vico Palla” and “Malkovich” are my personal favourites, especially Eataly it’s really good for tourists since it’s on the roof of a tall building so the view of Porto Antico there is amazing).
I would lose many hours talking about the countless historical buildings located in this one street, which literally has just palaces from the Rolli list, edited between the 16th and the 17th century from the lords of the city where only the most beautiful houses of the most important family in Genova were included. It’s the most beautiful street in the city by a long shot, you have at least to look at this outstanding place, but you should definitely visit some palaces like Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Doria Tursi, Palazzo della Meridiana, Palazzo Podestà (these ones are often opened to the public while the others are usually closed) and the list goes on and on.
Also, you can have an aperitivo in Palazzo Rosso’s courtyard, highly recommended, it’s an almost unique experience to be able to eat in such an amazing location.

Piazza San LorenzoSurrounded by the small alleys (i Vicoli) you can find this beautiful street where you can find one of the biggest cathedrals in Genova, with this typical striped pattern and an amazing indoor. Another place you can find very easily and which is totally worth it.
The most beautiful and important square of the town, full of historical buildings such as the magnificent Palazzo Ducale (where the doge of Genova used to rule from and now one of the most important museums of the city), Palazzo della regione, Palazzo della Banca, the fountain of course and the Carlo Felice, the main theatre of the city.
You should definitely check the cultural offer both Palazzo Ducale and the theatre give if you look for a cultural visit.

One of the most beautiful part of Genova, it never changed through centuries. The fishermen’s houses of this part of the city, founded in the 11th century by Spanish people who shipwrecked there and decided to stay due to the beauty of the place, maintains the same style and disposition of that time, giving the place an ancient and typical look like no other places in the city.
It’s the perfect place also where to eat at evening, surrounded by the sea at sunset it’s a view you don’t want to miss while you stay in Genova.
Take the cable railway from Piazza dell’Annunziata and reach the Righi (it’s the last stop) just to look at the city from above, there’s a great view that you can’t absolutely miss during your staying. Also, right at the last stop of the railway there’s a great pizzeria, “Montallegro”, where you can eat looking at the amazing view (call it to book a place next to the window, you won’t regret)
