We have had some of our best meals here. Great steaks, nightly specials, plenty of covered outdoor seating, live music. This locals favorite is in the middle of all the action in Helen. They have their own designated parking too. Great selection of beers on tap and full bar.

Such a relaxing atmosphere, wonderful dinners. And they have live music several nights a week, depending on the season. Mully the owner is often found greeting and checking on his guests. Not even a mile from the Alpine River Haus, but since it is south of town, there are no sidewalks to Mully's. Drive here. Another favorite eatery shares the property with Mully's, Nacoochee Village Tavern Pizza.

My favorite hikes
This waterfall hike MUST be on every visit to Helen. If it's raining, all the better! Get your raincoat on and go. This trail is fully paved and short. (although it has a steady uphill incline, there are benches to rest) I see people of all ages on this trail.
Per person fee. Picnic tables along the river. Pack a lunch to enjoy there. 0.9 miles roundtrip.

Duke's Falls is different in that you start at the top of the trail and go down to the waterfall. Impressive falls and a nice stream along the way. Roundtrip 2.5 miles. Paid parking.
