Food Scene

Very good pizza from Naples, they're real Italians. You get a square of pizza for as less as 2 euro. A lot of pizzas for vegetarians also. And don't forget to try their sweets!

The best Italian restaurant in Berlin as far as I know. The space is well decorated but simple and the prices are reasonable for the quality you get (12 euro for tagliatelle with truffles, which is my favorite).

It's a cosy place where they cook pies with different stuff in them (meat or vegetables or both). At lunch you get one of them with mashed potatoes for as less as 5,50 euro, so it's worth a stop while you're sightseeing in Kreuzberg.

It's a restaurant/bar in Charlottenburg a bit far from my place. Actually I have never visited it, but some guests had dinner there and I checked the photos on the website which look very nice, so hopefully I'll be there soon.

Drinks & Nightlife

It's a nice smokey bar behind my place. You get a pint of beer for 3 euro and they have a wide selection of drinks (but they are quite pricey).

A cosy cafè in front of the canal, you can start a nice walk if you go east from here along the canal (also the west walk is interesting). On Fridays (and other days, check it on internet) there's the Maybach Ufer turkish market right in front of it.

Very big supermarket, you can get lost in it. People don't look very nice here but there's a lot of stuff.

You can find everything here, it's a bit pricey, but people look nicer than in the other supermarket Real. It's also smaller, so you don't have to go around much.

Parks & Nature

Very nice during spring, a lot of flowers blossom. On Sundays at about 18 during summer they usually host good concerts for free. There's also a cafè, but I've never tried it. Beside the cafe there's a gallery with varying exhibitions.

This used to be a railway station, but then it was destroyed during the last war and they made a park out of it. It's a nice walk and you can buy some (not always) good weed from the black people. It's not dangerous, just negotiate a bit on the price and you'll get a deal. I'm not sure about the legal status of weed in Germany, so don't buy much, and remember that probably your money is going to criminals, who might do bad things with it (but also good things maybe). I rarely smoke weed.

A park with a waterfall coming down a hill a couple of stations away from my place. You can climb on the hill and enjoy one of the most beautiful views in Berlin. The surrounding area is very beautiful and full of historical bars and cafes (search for Bergmanstraße, but check also the Markthalle in Zossenerstraße, they have small restaurants with excellent food). Nearby there's the Yorkschlösschen, a venue famous for blues and jazz concerts for reasonable prices.

Arts & Culture

This is the famous part of the wall with paintings and graffiti on it. It's a 500-meter walk along the river, so you can also have a sit in front of the water after looking at the wall.

Contemporary art museum, they have a more or less fixed exhibition of 1900-artists (like the German one that did those huge cubes of wax and a lot of other crap, I forgot his name) and then there's a big hall with rotating exhibitions, which might be interesting also.
