Neighborhoods

Quiet, exclusive residential neighborhood in the hills of SF, with breathtaking viewpoints all around. Perfect for WFH as there are amazing 30 minute walks everywhere including up and back from Twin Peaks, through Sutro Forest, and just wandering the neighborhood that I love to sneak between meetings. You can experience peacefulness of bird watching in the hills while being quite literally in the center of the city! Scenes from walks in the neighborhood https://www.instagram.com/reel/CZYE3vfjNyK

Birthplace of the 1960s counterculture movement, Haight-Ashbury draws a lively, diverse crowd looking to soak up the historic hippie vibe. Upper Haight Street is a hodgepodge of vintage clothing boutiques, record shops, bookstores, dive bars and casual, eclectic restaurants. Bordering Golden Gate Park, the neighborhood features many colorful, well-preserved Victorian homes, including the storied Grateful Dead House.

Cole Valley is a small, family-friendly community in the geographical center of the city. Tree-shaded streets are lined with well-kept Victorian homes, and a variety of mom-and-pop shops and relaxed restaurants, including a 1930s-inspired soda fountain.

SF has a huge park culture so if you're here on a nice day you HAVE to save some time to enjoy at dolores park. On the weekends, it's a party with groups gathering everywhere, enjoying drinks, food, etc. I like to pick up some food & ice cream from Bi-Rite.

Looking for your Full House intro package Victorian house shot? Then you have to stop by Alamo Square park and pic in front of the Painted Ladies. Another great spot for a picnic, but beware of the wind!

A San Francisco landmark, the Sutro Baths were once the largest public indoor swimming pool complex on the planet. Today its ruins remain and you can walk along the baths' sea wall & several concrete remains, as well as through a tunnel that Sutro once used for pumping in seawater. Use caution & sturdy shoes, it can be slippery & rouge waves are possible.

You can do a back & around hike in under 30 minutes or take any of the outlets towards the haight, cole valley or the sunset (via the UCSF Paranassus campus) to grab a coffee or start your days adventure.

Food scene

Brunch institution in SF (and our neighborhood!). We've been going for decades - Mario the manager is great. The back patio is adorable and you can snag the 2 tables in the front first come first served. We always get a poached egg dish & miracle pancakes.

This place can take the credit for my cravings for salads now. I always order the chicken salad or the veggie salad with meat on it (usually rotisserie chicken or lamb). Don't forget the fries (if you just want a few you can get your salad Greek style) and froyo with baklava! The back patio of this NOPA location is my favorite.

Other Tartine's exist in the city but despite always having a wait (try to avoid peak days) I recommend this one specifically because it's the only place you can get their banana cream pie and it's my FAVORITE. I also love the morning bun and of course their famous bread. I've got one of their cookbooks in the shelves of the Airbnb. Check it out!
