A must-see local destination, the 100-falls are impressive and easily visible from your car. There's also a nice hiking trail to the top. Also see Baby Falls, just 1/4 mile further up the road.

Buck Bald used to be the location of an old fire tower. The mountaintop is cleared of trees, so it offers a 360 degree view of the area. It's a great place for a picnic or for catching the sunset.

Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is a 3,800-acre forest with many old-growth trees. It features a 2-mile hiking loop among the giants. Located of the eastern side of the Cherohala Skyway National Scenic Byway, this is an easy day trip destination on from our place.
Conasauga Falls is wonderful place to visit. The trailhead is just down the mountain from our place, and the 35-foot falls are lovely. The hike in and out is relatively easy, approx. 1 mile each way.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most popular national park in the U.S., with many sightseeing & recreation opportunities. The Townsend entrance is about a two-hour drive from our home.

Coker Creek Falls is a very pretty 80-foot cascading waterfall not too far from our place (ask for the exact location). It is peaceful and serene and a great place to spend some time rock hopping and cooling off in the many shallow pools. There is also some great hiking in the area.

Save-A-Lot is the closest grocery store. You won't find anything fancy here, but you can get most of the basics. They do have a great meat department, so if you want a good steak, you're in luck!

They also have limited food service counter, where you can pick up a burger, a breakfast sandwich, ice cream and other prepared food items.

Tellico Grains is all kinds of good! The place is rustic/cozy, and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. They make artisan breads, great stone-fired pizza, and some absolutely sinful desserts. Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Seasonal.
