Recently re-opened, Pollok Country Park has it all. It's a 15 minute walk from our house. We love the area of the The Old Fort, there are trails for running and mountain bikes, old and new forest growth and lots for little ones to explore including a newly refurbished play area. Access is good all round. Spend a few hours here. Cafe in museum and near Pollok house.

Large Victorian Park with varied and accessible landscape. Breath taking views of Glasgow over to Loch Lomond on a clear day. Walk to the top of the park, reach the flag pole then explore the wooded area as you descend.

Smaller local park, 7 minute walk from our place. Good for walking the dog or shorter walks/getting some fresh air! Has a small play area for younger children, duck pond and accessible circular path.

Old School Markey, been running for ages - want a knock off tape or VCR from the 90s - head to the Barras... it's a mix of old school market stalls and newer, gentrified offerings inc. coffee, ceramics, artwork alongside pet supplies and high vis work wear. Could spend a few hours here pottering!
