LA is known for our car culture, but did you know that we have the largest bus system in the US? Long Beach and LA are also home to one of the most heavily traveled rail lines in the US, the Metro "A" (formerly Blue) line. If you have time, park at one of the nearby A line stations and take it for a day of exploring downtown Los Angeles. http://www.metro.net for more information.

It Gets Cold
Long Beach is a Pacific coastal city, and although we enjoy mostly sunny skies, it does get cold here. The nighttime winter temps can get into the upper 30's F/3 C, and even in the summer it can be windy and chilly at night. Bring a jacket if you'll be out after dark or you'll end up buying one!
