Neighborhoods
The community where the guest suite is located. Home to the first ever King County Library and previously Seattle's most southern point. The neighborhood is now in Burien city limits which is celebrating over 100 years of city status. We have a private golf course and fire department right down the road.

South Park, in Seattle's south end, is a mix of industrial, retail, and residential buildings. This working- and middle-class neighborhood, dubbed the city's most diverse, is home to individuals of all ethnic and racial backgrounds, and it yet has the grit of its industrial heritage.
There are several parks, including a skate park, boxing clubs, and a yacht club, for recreation (on the river that forms its eastern border). There are lots of breweries for beer aficionados here if you're seeking for more sedentary activities (Lowercase Brewing, Odin Brewing, Tin Dog Brewing, and Burdick Brewery). There are also tasting rooms for a number of local wineries for wine lovers.

Skip the overcrowded Alki beach in the summer and visit Des Moines Beach Park. It's a beautiful recreational park on the beach with an amazing river trail. 14 minute drive or 50 minute bike ride.

This river trail is beautiful on foot, bike or tube floating. We use this trail at least 10 times a year. Often spending the whole day exploring and eating long the river trail. 7 minute drive or 12 minute bike ride.

The only disappointment you might feel is not ordering more cheese burgers.
