Great fell walk suitable for most walking abilities and the start is a a very short distance from our cottage.
Access to Lake Windermere is only a 10-15 minute walk away and we highly recommend. Several eateries down here including The Wateredge Inn which has stunning views of the Lake and is a great place for lunchtime grub.

Waterhead
Access to Lake Windermere is only a 10-15 minute walk away and we highly recommend. Several eateries down here including The Wateredge Inn which has stunning views of the Lake and is a great place for lunchtime grub.
This is such a fabulous day out and you can either drive to Brockhole (10 mins away) or get the 555 open top bus from Ambleside bus station or a ferry from Waterhead. Lots of options once you arrive as well, a stroll around the lake, a kids play area which is highly rated or afternoon tea at the restaurant; The Gaddum (booking for the restaurant is recommended as it can get busy).

Brockhole on Windermere

Spoilt for choice in terms of walks from Grasmere - we recommend Easedale Tarn. The food and drink options are also plentiful - we highly recommend as a perfect day out.
