Beatuful day trip option. We recommend visiting it, as well as Kamenjak. It's close to Biograd, so if traveling with kids, it's a great time to visit Fun Park Mirnovec as well during the same day.

Local transportation
Zadar is fairly small, therefor most places of interest can be reached in 20-40 minutes walk. However, during hot summer months, walking might not be the best option.
We recommend taxi services as the most practical means of transport. There are also local buses that run every 30 minutes to one hour. The main bus station is 10 minutes walk from Dalamtia Rustica, and you can catch all the buses from there.
If you are arriving by airplane, we recomend to set up taxi service prior to arrival, in order to make sure you will receive a fair offer. Also, we provide transfer service per request.

You can drink tap water in Zadar
The water is perfectly safe to drink straight from the tap! However, due to occasional droughts, sometimes there is water shortage. This doesn't happen often, but in case it does, here are some tips.
You can fill up a few empty bottles with water and keep them in the fridge. Also, if it happens that there is a water reduction, after the water comes back, make sure to let the tap water run for a few minutes before consuming it (or until you see it's completely clear).
