45 minutes driving from Nystuen you will find Norway's deepes vally. From Øvre Årdal, a comfortable walking road has been constructed. The road passes through Vetti and crosses the Utla river on four spectacular bridges. The walking path ends at one of Norway's tallest waterfalls “Vettisfossen”(275 m free falling).

a two hour drive from the flat to Gjendesheim. Ask for more instructions.

Borgund Stave church is beautifully situated in Lærdal. The church was constructed around the year 1180 and is one of the best preserved stave churches in Norway.
By the church is an interesting visitors centre featuring an exibition about Norwegian stave churches and unique Viking archelogical finds from the 9th century. There is also a cafè, a souvenirshop and a nursery.
The Borgund stave church is on the historic route between vinhellavegen and Sverrestigen that offers beautiful hiking paths.
