Beaches and Snorkeling
Sosua has some of the best beaches in the DR (and arguably the World!). Think white sand, calm, crystal-clear turquoise waters and beautiful views of mountains in the horizon. We cannot think of a better place to spend a lazy day in the Caribbean. To top it off, these beautiful white sand beaches are also home to arguably the best snorkelling in the country. Beneath Sosua's turquoise-blue tranquil waters is a captivating hidden world teeming with coral reefs and exotic fish.

Sosua Beach has a special 'vibe' all of its own and is hands down our favorite beach in the DR. Oh yeah, and there is great snorkeling just off shore!

Playa Sosúa

A must visit and absolute gem. Not well known yet, but don't wait too long. Natural and secluded and often home to one of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. It's Incredible clear waters are tucked in beneath beautiful stone coastal walls. This beach is less crowded and vibrant than Sosua Beach, but arguably more stunning. Great snorkeling just off the beach and along the shoreline on a calm day. A relaxing vibe with a couple of awesome restaurants near by as well

A beautiful, short drive down the coastline will take you to Cabarete. Another small beach town popular with tourists and ex-pats and world renown as a Mecca for kite surfing. Enjoy a day at the beach with great views, restaurants, local. vendors and nightlife.

Food Scene
There are an abundance of local eateries and restaurants in Sosua ranging from quick eats, all the way to fine dining. The food here is often locally sourced and very fresh, especially the fruits and vegetables. In most cases, you can't go wrong, but here are a few tried, tested and true spots where we guarantee you'll get good vibes, cold drinks and great eats. Enjoy!

One of the best places to watch a sunset. Located right above Playa Alicia. You can enjoy a table inside, on the patio, or grab a chair down on the beach and have them bring your food and drinks right to you! The food is great, but you definitely pay just a little more here compared to some other spots, just based on its location but it is definitely worth a visit, especially right around sunset on a clear day.

You can enjoy a table inside, on the patio, or grab a chair down on the beach and have them bring your food and drinks right to you! The food is great, but you definitely pay just a little more here compared to some other spots, just based on its location but it is definitely worth a visit, especially right around sunset on a clear day.
Owned by a Canadian couple and centrally located in a great spot right in the heart of Sosua. One of the most popular watering holes in the city and for good reason. The staff is great, the interior and the decor is very cool and the food is always good. The vibe and the clientele in here is awesome and you'll likely make a few new friends if you hang out for a couple of hours. Check out the live music shows, we always have a great night at Jolly's when a band or signer is playing.

A variety of large, fresh servings and some of the best value anywhere in Sosua. You can get a Steakhouse quality dinner here for around the same price as fast food in some parts of the city. The restaurant is very nice and all of the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the entire restaurant has spectacular sprawling views of city of Sosua, the Ocean and Mountains all in one. A must try!

The restaurant is very nice and all of the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the entire restaurant has spectacular sprawling views of city of Sosua, the Ocean and Mountains all in one. A must try!

Its a great spot to watch a game or any sports event and the food is all great and really well priced. There are daily specials and happy hours that are always worth checking out. It's not far from the beach either. You will feel right at home in here and we pretty much guarantee that once you try Flip Flops you'll want to go back again and again...
