Great spot for takeaway coffee or pastries/sandwiches (breakfast/lunch). There are a couple of seats, but it gets pretty busy so these are often taken.

Delicious bakery goods with good coffee - this hole in the wall is great for a quick takeaway sandwich or coffee, though they do have a couple of tables set up if it is a nice day!
The cheesymite pastry is a favorite of ours, or try their special pastry for some unexpected flavour combinations

Head towards the hills up Bowenvale Ave and its about 800m to the start of the track. There are many different trail options for walking or running as well as mountain biking (trails link through to Victoria Park).

This popular hill walk is mostly through farmland up to the summit road - the views are well worth it! A great way to start the day !!

The Harry El track is a good family friendly wander up to the summit road with nice views over the city and towards the mountains (especially around sunset)
Grab a coffee or ice cream from Sign of the Kiwi cafe at the top. There is handy parking to start your walk around the Victoria Park dog park.

The Harry El track is a good family friendly wander up to the summit road with nice views over the city and towards the mountains (especially around sunset)
Grab a coffee or ice cream from Sign of the Kiwi cafe at the top. There is handy parking to start your walk around the Victoria Park dog park.
Easy access to some sweet mountain biking trails! Beginner to Advanced. Also some wee features and a pump track for the kids!
You can pay for a lift pass up and save your energy (and puff!) for the way down. Or if you're feeling like a walk, you can walk the uphill track and catch the chairlift down for free!
The Cafe at the bottom has coffee/beers for a refuel after your ride.
It's about a 15-20 min bike ride gate to gate around the bottom of the hills if you follow centaurus road.
