So many yummy chocolates to eat on the very fun tour! You get to wear a terrific-looking hairnet, too ;-) It's in the fun neighborhood of Fremont in Seattle. If you're over there, be sure to check out the Fremont Troll under the bridge.

Getting Around

A ferry boat ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island is always delightful. A great view and experience for just a few bucks. It's especially nice to plan your trip back to the city to see the city light up at dusk. The charming town of Winslow on Bainbridge Island is a few blocks up from the ferry terminal and has a great bakery and many sweet shops and restaurants.

Everything Else

Neighborhood south of us (1 light rail stop toward the airport or a 2 mile drive down Rainier Ave.) with a wide selection of restaurants, local shops and even a bit of entertainment including Ark Lodge Cinemas and the Columbia City Theater for live entertainment. It's walk-able, but we recommend taking back streets. Rainier Ave. is not a pleasant stroll.

A few light rail or bus stops from our place ... even walkable if you love to walk (ask Diane for a recommended route). This is the historic Chinatown, Japantown and Little Saigon. The book, The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet took place here. Great restaurants and interesting shops.

The one, the only - the icon of Seattle! Easy-ish access: take the light rail to Westlake station, then either get on the Monorail (separate fare) or walk about a mile to Seattle Center. The Center often has festivals happening. Chihuly Garden and Glass is here as well - stunning.
