Sightseeing
The Croton Dam is something to behold. Take the Old Croton Aqueduct trail to or from it to make a hike/walk/run out of the excursion.

This trail runs all over the place. Pick it up in Croton by the dam.
Breakneck Ridge is a fun hike. A challenging scramble up to the Hudson River view and an easy climb down the other side (that's how I hike it anyway).

There is another swimming hole/beach up river called Silver Lake Park but they require you to be a resident to swim there. Mayo's Landing technically requires the same but no one ever checks it!

At the end of Cleveland Drive is a trail head for a nice wooded path down to Silver Lake Park and, after switching over to road, Mayo's Landing (swimming hole).

At the end of Gerstein St is a park w/ 3 tennis courts, a running track, & a baseball field. This facility abuts the trail that can be picked up behind the track or at the end of Cleveland Dr.

There are trails all around Bald Mountain. Best accessible trailhead is off of Applebee Farm Rd on the left.

Outdoor sculpture park/garden. Really a must-see.
Dia Beacon is beautiful - all installation art set in an old Nabisco packaging facility. Beacon is a cool town with a great farmers market too.

A theater that shows independent movies. Pleasantville itself is very sweet and there are some decent restaurants in town. Good farmer's market on Saturdays.

There is a coin laundromat right next door to Mex-to-go. There is also one down the hill from the cottage but it's pretty dark and dingy. I'll list my favorite in Ossining too.

This is a nice laundromat. The machines operate off of a free card you fill up from a machine and the place is super clean. If you speak Spanish, that's helpful! ~12 min drive. Metered street parking.
