The fastest and most convenient beach access information is given, here, in the entry for Gulf Shores and Gulf State Park Pier.
If you take the gulf beach highway straight to Gulf Shores Beaches its best to do so before 9am to avoid traffic. When you reach the end of 59 turn right on gulf beach boulevard and there is paid public parking on the left (beach side) that is very nice. It is definitely less crowded before 9am. Across the road there is free parking and of course it is easier to find a spot earlier in the morning. If you pass this parking spot there is another parking Public Beach access 13th street on the beach side and one on the right side of the road just before Lee Callaway Bridge (West Beach Blvd).
