We love treating ourselves to an ice cream at the dairy bar and looking at the animals such as the cows they get the milk from for the ice creams, also a nice opportunity to see some horses. we recommend treating yourself a UConn tradition by trying some of the homemade ice cream! Over 200,000 customers visit the Dairy Bar annually and enjoy more than 24 flavors of ice cream created at the Dairy Bar.

This is a great little Chinese place that is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. I really love the wonton soup and the General Tso Shrimp.

This is one of the best Hibachi grills and the sushi bar is my favorite. We usually go and get a booth and order off the menu but the Hibachi is always a good choice!

This is another MUST see park with a great garden to walk through. The Japanese section is impressive and the pond in very peaceful. There is also a little animal viewing area next to a playground (Seasonal of course)

Elizabeth Park is our family's favorite place to go spring and summer time.
It is the oldest municipal rose garden in the United States, and currently contains about 15,000 bushes of 800 rose varieties.
A must see during the spring and summer time!

This will be one of the most amazing Native American (indigenous people) museum you will ever see! I went to this museum with my daughter for a school field trip and LOVED every minute I was there. Great way to spend a day and then pop into the Casino for dinner and some fun!
