Yes going into downtown Durham is worth it for this whole-in-the-wall restaurant. Seating is limited so make sure to get a reservation! It has the best chicken and waffles in the area and if this is a new food combination for you, the is the place to try this great southern dish!

Great and sometimes unusual tapas (such as bone marrow) grace the menu here. One of my all time favorite restaurants in the area for high quality food. Better for date night than with families. Bar seating is available.

There is a Saltbox closer that just opened. Putting this here as a placeholder. Lines can get very long at lunch so go early or later if you don't want to wait an hour (but great food worth the wait). Fresh seafood from the coast with 5-6 offerings per day. As the day goes on they will cross items off the list as they run out. Hush honeys (hush puppies with honey) are worth trying!

A very large children's museum with an indoor section that offers hands on learning/play for children and a massive outdoor section with treehouses even adults will enjoy. Ask me about this if you are interested, we love going here so much we have a membership.

This is a small town mall with a couple big draws. On one end you have the movie theater and on the other end you have the largest kitchen store in the southeast. Between these are various boutiques from children's clothes to UNC gear to high end novelties.

Located at our local elementary school and walking distance from us, this park is open after 5PM on weekdays, weekends and when school is on break. You can find 2 playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts and pickle ball courts.

Free Chapel Hill bus. The F route stop within walking distance is at Ephesus Elementary School. Stops include University Place Mall, UNC Campus (via Franklin St), Downtown Chapel Hill, etc. You can easily transfer to other routes as needed.
