This 200 year old Fort went through two battles, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War and it's located next to my favorite part of the beach where you can watch the cargo ships and Shrimp boats pass through the deep waters on their way to Charleston. It's a cool $3 dollar entrance fee to talk a walk around.
Rent your kayak, canoes, paddleboards or find a hiking tour here (or the place just across the creek). This creek is also the hotspot for spotting fresh catches and more than one legendary shrimp boat.

This penguin of a lighthouse is a bold black and white triangular lighthouse that is a modern symbol of Sullivan's. It isn't open to the public, but, it's one of the nicest spots to park and stroll a short boardwalk to the beach to spend the day.
