Order the Chicken Sumo Bao, a pillowy bun filled with marinated fried chicken breast, mayo, pickled daikon and a drizzle of red dragon sauce, and it’ll set the tone for the rest of the night. Next up, try the pork and ginger dumplings, edamame and steamed greens, before taking it up a notch, with main-size dishes like the finger-lickin’ Sticky Char Sui Pork, My Ramen (think: chicken karaage, roast chicken broth, buttered corn, egg, nori, spring onion and bamboo) or the Wafu Beef, a tantalising plate of grass-fed beef carpaccio with Japanese flavours, konbu mojo, pickled ginger, daikon, wasabi mayo and dashi chips. There are a number of short walks for you to stroll along and spot possums, koalas, sugar gliders, water dragons, goannas, and an endless list of bird varieties. There’s also an interesting sculpture garden and a fully operational Arts and Ecology centre. Take a picnic rug (and maybe some mozzie repellent!) and enjoy the natural and peaceful setting. Sounds pretty cruisy, right?

They do coffee and cake (amazing cakes and slices or buy a whole cake to take home) but the dozens of different pies and pasties are the star of the show. The fresh cooked bread is delicious too. If you see a queue don’t worry as they serve you fairly quickly. It’s worth the wait, the aroma will satisfy you in the meantime.
