It is a unique Monument which commemorates the Pioneer history of Southern Africa and the history of the Afrikaner and is situated in a beautiful setting. Lots of stairs and stunning views. There is on display the famous and beautiful Tapestry of the Great Trek. Nine women of the ATKV embroidered for eight years to complete it. The series of tapestries depict scenes from the Great Trek, placing the accent on the role of women.
