This restaurant has great decor - lots of local art for sale. Local beer, local food options - the chorizo burger or the fish cakes are my favs. Beautiful patio with a view of the river, though it doesn't get much sun - so make sure it's a really warm day.

This pub has the best New Brunswick craft beer selection in the city - and it's changing every week. They buy most of their food from local suppliers and you'll find a unique twist on traditional pub foods. The desserts are all outstanding!

Traditional diner breakfast, complete with the decor. Nothing fancy at all but simple, reliable diner experience. If you like a morning stroll, the pathway system takes you through O'dell Park and all the way there in about 20 minutes.

The BEST desserts in town. The best Macarons I've had outside of France. Given the small location and lack of Wifi, I prefer to get treats to take home.

This slightly hard to find Pizzeria (in the basement!) make the best wood-fired pizzas. They're only open until 6, so it makes a great stop for lunch or an early dinner.

This is as close to a street market as you get in Fredericton. Saturdays bring together food vendors from all over the world. It's just a 5 minute walk from the house and with a park across the street, it makes it a great lunch option!

This Saturday morning market is a MUST in Fredericton. This is where I get most of my groceries every week. All year-round you can get meat, cheese, breads, eggs, and basic produce. In the summer you'll get the best and freshest veggies around. There are made-in-NB crafts, prepared foods for lunch and much more. The Gagetown Fruit Farm is my favorite vendor for pastries. And the Whitney Coffee Company wins for the morning coffee.

This micro-brewery is the only one with a great selection of both their own beers as well as beers from the other local micro-breweries. The patio is great and dogs are welcome all year long. On weekends they often have a food truck in the parking lot so you can dine while you drink.

This is three bars in one. My favorite is Wilsers Room - great beer and a huge patio. Great for a late afternoon beer. In the evenings there's often live music.

I know it's been said many times in this listing - but seriously. Just cross the street and start walking. We lived in this house for years and did not take full advantage of this great park until we got a dog. Don't make that mistake. You can walk for 20 minutes or 2 hours. There's also a playground for the kids.

Easiest grocery store - it's right down the street. You can walk, but don't buy anything too heavy or it will make the short walk home seem very long as you go up the hill!
