People come to Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek to meet, work and relax. This beautiful city park, with its historic factory buildings surrounded by expanses of green, also has workplaces, venues for large and small events, and a range of catering, film, theatre and exhibition facilities.

The Westergasfabriek is a former gas factory in the West district of Amsterdam. At the beginning of the 21st century the site was completely renovated and the buildings restored. Now it has a cultural and recreational destination under the name Westergasfabriek.

Great area to explore. Old factory buildings refactored to a movie theatre, several restaurants and bars, a hotel - beautiful architecture, no cars and therefore very child friendly. Highly recommended!
