As Chippy Cottage is tucked inside a private village, it is important you have ample food supplies throughout your stay, especially if you want to save on dining out in the Hirafu area, which could get expensive. Whether you enjoy cooking up a storm using beautiful local produce, or prefer an pre-made meal that you could easily heat up at the cottage apres-ski, Lucky supermarket has an answer for you! If you are arriving in late afternoon, I recommend making a detour here from Chitose, to pick up at least some breakfast items, beers and snacks etc, so tie you over the evening. For long stays I usually go back once or twice to stock up so I could cook.

Located in the nearest town Kutchan, Lucky has everything you need if you plan to give your culinary skills a whirl and make the most of your cosy surrounds. If you are having trouble locating what is on your shopping list just ask at the service counter for English speaking staff who will be more than happy to help.
