Take a walk down the pier, watch fisherman, see the bridge from a new perspective, and picnic in the park. This is one of the best places for quick retreat in Charleston.

From Shaggin' on the Cooper, to Music and Movies in the Waterfront Park, to great annual events like Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival, this place is another 'must do' when visiting IOP. It's just a short drive from our cabin, has free parking, a children's playground, a gift shop and River Watch Café - simply a great place to spend a couple hours during your visit! Pick up an ice cream and walk the pier or sit and relax on a swing, feel the sea breeze; maybe follow the path to walk over the Ravenel Bridge, where breathtaking, panoramic views of the Charleston Harbor are unbeatable! Also, you can get a feel for the local culture at the Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Pavilion, War Memorial, and Visitor Center, or even try your hand at fishing.
