A secluded Elizabethan Manor House, hidden away from the modern world: a place of historic fun and discovery. National Trust with car park Don't miss Playing the Tudor games and kayling and slapcock in the garden. Trying on Armour. Lunch or munch in the Barn restaurant, famed for its lemon meringue pie.

Another national trust place. This one has a small house and other bits that are under cover. A good tea rooms and they often let the children try on armour etc . It’s over near Newquay so you could team it with a drive to watch the waves .

Dinky house and gardens dating back to the early Tudor period but in use as a family home until the 1970s. You can try on armour and period clothing, play Elizabethan garden games and rummage around the second hand bookshop. Small but cute.
