KTA, a locally third(or-fourth)-generation-owned, competitively priced supermarket, is located in Hilo town, about a 35-minute drive from Volcano Village, which has two general stores. KTA offers more choices at lower prices.

An alternative Japanese owned super market with many items that cater to the local appetite. They have an excellent bakery and seafood department. Tends to be very crowded than other super markets.
