Turku is an the old capital of Finland and has many historic sites and places to see. There is a nice castle and a very old large church. Modern shopping around the city square and also the "Kauppahalli" which is an old building for small vendors and restaurants. The Aura river offers some nice boats such as the Suomen Joutsen museum boat and restaurant boats.

The oldest city in Finland was European Capital of Culture in 2011. It is having several shopping malls, interesting museums, medieval castle and the Finland's National Dome and many others. Definetly worth of visiting alongside Helsinki.
