This magnificant abbey and it's grounds dates back to the time of Henri 1st and is steeped in a rich mixture of history. You can walk around the beautiful grounds of the abbey, go on a guided tour, or if your brave enough visit during one of their ghost nights.

Hidden at the edge of the forest, near the pretty village of Lisors, is the Abbey. It is a ruin but has lots of atmosphere and it a place of beauty. There is an extensive lake you walk around which is beautiful when sunny. Children can have a bit of a run around.

L'abbaye Notre-Dame de Mortemer est une abbaye d'hommes cistercienne fondée en 1134 par le roi Henri Ier d'Angleterre entre Lyons-la-Forêt et Lisors dans l'Eure. Belle visite à 20 minutes du Gîte
