The General Store in Barryville is owned by former Brooklynites. It stocks local cheeses and produce as well as an interesting selection of basic food and household provisions. A little pricey but a lovely place to check out!

Opened in 2021, Barryville General brings a bit of Hamptons-Chic to our quaint corner of the Catskills. It's filled with healthy/organic/all-natural products and carries local meats, cheeses, and veggies. They have a great beer selection and are the perfect place to stop in for a sandwich before a long hike. Pro tip - their items, while super nice, are pretty pricey, so if you forget a toothbrush or are looking for cheap beer - there's a gas station right across the bridge in Shohola, PA that might be a better option
