The Blagaj Tekke was a place of permanent residence of some dervishes, which is a unique example in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was built on a solid rocky soil at the right side of the source of the Buna river. The nearest property to rent is " The Old House Paparosa", which is only 5 walking from the Tekke.

Tekija represents a valuable sacral-residential building of Islamic architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with very pronounced features that arose from the influence of the Baroque on Ottoman architecture. It is located in Blagaj, a small place near Mostar. Tekija itself is located at the well of the Buna river. (Source: Wikipedia).

Tekija Blagaj - with one of Europes largest natural water reservoar. They say it's the purest water to drink. Lots of restaurants around - I recommend the local-grown fish “Pastrmka” if you eat meat. For vegans you can try Uštipke or Peksimete a wonderful puffy pastry to try!
