Relax by the river. Our favorite activities include crawfish picnics and hitting golf balls at the passing barges, but any day spent at The Fly is a good day. Another perfect place for a quick walk.

Beautiful ancient oak tree. This is a favorite spot for locals to relax. It's also an excellent location for photos and is often used for quiet weddings. Right next to the giraffes of Audubon Zoo.

Spend a few hours among the animals. So close, we sometimes hear the monkeys at play. It's always fun to sneak a peak at the giraffes, two blocks from the apartment, if you skip the zoo itself.

A wonderful restaurant & bar two block from the apartment. Romantic & fun. Both dinner and weekend brunch offerings are excellent. The bar stays open late on Fridays for Sinatra Night.

This is my favorite bar. It's where I learned to dance as a teenager (don't tell them that). My suggestion is to eat dinner next-door at Jaques-imo's and then make your way to the bar.
