This small shop is run by an older latinx couple and makes the best cakes I've ever had. I go for every special occasion I can think of! They are local, delicious, and reasonably priced.

If you've never experienced Dutch Bros and your a caffeine nut, it's vital you stop in. Their drinks are hyper-caffeinated (6 shots of espresso) and are delicious. Just don't look at the calorie count!

The Clever Koi is delicious, and a must go if you love Asian food. It's authentic, has interesting drinks, and is a cute spot to hang out.

Matt's is by far the best breakfast joint in town. Their waffles are absolutely to die for. With absolutely no exaggeration, when you get there, there will be raucous talking at every table, and then dead silence once the food comes out because everyone is far too engrossed in their breakfast to talk. It's that good. But be prepared for a wait if you don't get there early. They don't take reservations!

They've been touted as having some of the best Tacos in Phoenix, and are situated in an old church. The inside is stunning with stained glass windows and murals, they are a LGBTQ+ friendly bar, and have a very wide selection of tequila.

Switch is my favorite casual spot downtown. They have a wide selection of reasonably priced drinks, the bar staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and the food is good. They aren't ever too loud, too crowded, or too much, it always strikes a great balance of fun and low-key.

Cobra has a lot of old cabinet arcade games, which makes for a novel night out. Their drinks are expensive, video game themed, and cater to a specific taste, but the games are fairly cheap, run the gamut of popular and unique, and it is an incredibly popular bar.

Vee Quiva is in the middle of an Indian Reservation so the views are pretty beautiful driving out there. There isn't a huge variety, and it's not the fanciest of Casinos in Phoenix, but it's low-key, not very expensive to bet, and we've always had great experiences there.

Vee Quiva is in the middle of an Indian Reservation so the views are pretty beautiful driving out there. There isn't a huge variety, and it's not the fanciest of Casinos in Phoenix, but it's low-key, not very expensive to bet, and we've always had great experiences there.

Old Town Scottsdale has an iconic cowboy marking the start of a high priced, artisan row of shops and restaurants. It gets very popular during spring training, and is a unique place to people watch and shop.

There are regular festivals here, and it's a very tranquil and active spot. Also a lot of poke stops here!

The light rail is fairly inexpensive, and if it's going to and from where you need to go, is an easy and reliable form of transit. It is clean, and usually helps beat the crowds at big events where parking can be difficult and expensive. There are several car parks near the light rail too.
