The main advantage of this property is that it is close to the station (0.5 miles) and city centre, BUT located in a quiet, residential cul-de-sac. This means you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city centre but retreat to a calm, safe neighbourhood watch area, where residents and visitors mutually respect quiet hours of 11 pm to 7 am. It has free on-street parking and a bus stop (Carleton Street) approximately 80m away.

Fully self-contained with oven and Hob, fridge-freezer, sink and counter-top eating space. Comfortable sofa with a TV in the living room/kitchen and a separate bedroom. Guests can request a double bed or 2 small singles, as required (if no preference is given we will make up a double bed). Separate wet-room with w/c, power shower and sink.

Self-contained peaceful studio, close to York

Modern studio annex to 1850s cottage with its own access, close to to the stunning city of York. Looks onto big family garden, feels like a country retreat but only 20-25 minutes' easy and beautiful river walk from city centre. Well behaved pets welcome. Should the annex be booked for your preferred dates, do look up our shepherds hut. Please note that ‘cancelled dates’ mentioned in the March 2020 reviews were due to government Covid regulations - not us!

The A64 is a mile down the road, there's easy access to Castle Howard and the Designer Outlet, the Yorkshire coast is just over an hour away and it’s only a mile from The Normans for wedding guests.

Providing a great base for visiting and exploring York city centre which is easily accessable via No.4 bus which runs from local bus stops or a 30 min walk into the city via Hob Moor nature reserve. A ideal location for York Racecourse just a short walk away.

Naburn Grange Cottage is a farm worker’s cottage attached to an 18th century riverside farmhouse in between the villages of Naburn and Stillingfleet. With easy access to York by car, bus, cycle track or (in the summer months) riverbus, you can explore the city’s history or the beauty of the surrounding countryside. This one-bedroomed cottage is well-equipped and private, with the owners next door for information or advice on your visit.

Pear Tree Barn, York 5m, Village Location

Pear Tree Barn has been lovingly restored and converted as holiday accommodation during 2016. The old timbers have been retained but are not obtrusive, where the height of the interior allows the original A frame roof timbers add that necessary rustic charm to what is now a modern property. Due to the coronavirus, we are taking additional steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations.
