Suite 3 is a SECOND FLOOR room in the main building. It has a king bed, quaint PRIVATE bathroom with a standing shower, tv, A/C, hair dryer, microwave, coffee pot, mini-fridge, and a cozy private sitting area. All upstairs suites do have a sloped ceiling in at least one part of their rooms. Suite 3 has a sloped ceiling in its small setting area and just above the top of the bed. Full access to the shared indoor kitchen, the outdoor kitchen and grill, the common-use hot tub, and the bonfire pit.

Blue Hill room in the Oakland House Inn

Our innkeeping-family has been welcoming guests to the the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine since July 4, 1889. We are perfectly situated directly on the saltwater of the Reach and the freshwater of Walker Pond. The Oakland House has two private ocean beaches. In the distance, you can see the Pumpkin Island Lighthouse and even the Camden Hills! Our guests also have access to the Blue Dot and Yellow Dot trails that lead up to a phenomenal view of the waterfront from Lookout Rock.

Climb the spiral staircase to the second story turret tower which has a comfortable chair and couch, TV and fireplace. You will feel like you are on top of the world in this room with a king bed and En Suite bathroom with a shower. Breakfast is included with the room. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking space, Fridge, TV, & WIFI. Located on the third floor.

The cottages are reminiscent of the original roadside resorts enjoyed by motorists as they drove through and enjoyed mid-coast Maine. Cottages are located behind the main house, with parking available at each cottage and walking paths that lead to the back entrance of the main house of Country Inn.
