Our campsite is located on the hill behind Terlingua Ghost Town, 1/2 mile from Restaurants and shopping. Campfires are allowed. We have a composting toilet on the campground and an outdoor shower available. The view from your campsite is a 360 degree panoramic view of the Big Bend region complete with a sunrise over the Chisos and a sunset in the Chihuahuan desert of Mexico. The road to the campsite is unpaved. Take it slowly, any car will make it. One tent per site, please. Tent not included.

Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park are located at our doorstep about 8 miles away. Raft, mountain bike, and jeep touring rentals and guides are nearby as well as a spectacular golf resort and spa. Our 600 sq. ft. newly built bungalow features a kitchen with full size stainless appliances, spacious bathroom, bedroom with queen-sized bed, and living room with American Leather Comfort Sleeper Sofa with TempurPedic Queen mattress. Guests can enjoy sunsets from the private patio.

Leapin' Lizard Guest House

A charming solar/rain-catchment adobe and stone cabin in a prime location, very private, with an unbeatable view of the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend NP. This small off-grid/solar/rain catchment cabin offers a queen sized bed, a twin bed in a separate space, and utmost seclusion. It’s located between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, 2 miles from Terlingua Ghostown. COMING IN OCTOBER 2024: Campsite with a shower, flush toilet, table, chairs, fire pit, and a stellar view!

Off Grid Earth Bag Home

Welcome to my earth bag home located 25 minutes outside of the entrance to Big Bend National Park. The house sits on 100 acres with 360 degree views of mountains, mesas, pinnacles, spires, and buttes. There are walking trails throughout the property. Good luck finding another home with a as much love put into it! If the Earthbag home is booked I have a home called “Rammed Earth” over the hill that is a work of art. For some reason with online algorithms this home is not showing up as often.

Bus Jack - Primitive Campsite on Terlingua Ranch

This land art installation on Terlingua Ranch in the Chihuahuan Desert is made of 9 vintage Volkswagon campers and vans arranged in a henge. This is NOT in Terlingua Ghost Town. It is about an hour from there. It is available for primitive camping. "Bus Jack" is visible on satellite images of the earth. There is no bathroom or water available at the site. There is limited cell phone coverage. Up to 50 primitive campers are allowed. You must take all trash with you when you leave.

Terlingua Casita de Chile's

This is a 107 acre property that allows for lots of wildlife viewing, stargazing and just enjoying quiet and relaxing evenings. This is one of two rentals on the 107 acres! This property is a scenic 50 minute drive to the BBNP entrance. At 45 minutes along the way to BBNP you will pass gas, grocery and adult beverage stores. Once you return to the property for the evening, you will find a cooling/hot tub, wildlife along with peaceful relaxing stars and scenery to enjoy. Car accessible.

Betty is a 1985 Silver Streak trailer shes our largest. With extra space to relax in, custom painted cabinet doors and an interior to match the wild desert scenery. With twin beds and a daybed with trundle, you'll sleep comfortably. Terlingua is a destination and our Betty's deck is THE spot to sit and watch the sun set in the East as well as the west! There are no streetlights so as the sun fades, the stars begin to shine and the milky way washes across the sky just for you.

Tiny Terlingua-Terlingua Ghosttown-Locally Owned

Tiny Terlingua is minutes from the historic Terlingua Ghosttown, conveniently situated between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. The park entrance is 10 minutes away. This little house is tucked away on the corner of 5 acres with plenty of room for enjoying a campfire, viewing the night sky and watching an amazing sunrise. A peaceful desert paradise perfect for nature lovers! The house is located about 1 mile from the pavement on a dirt road.
